While the official celebration for St Patrick’s Day is Tuesday 17 March, operators were in high spirits over the weekend (Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March).
Coinciding with ‘super Saturday’, when all teams took part in the final round of the Guinness Six Nation’s tournament, and Mother’s Day, pubs hosted a variety of events to keep the festivities going.
From live music to themed menus and promotional offers, the sector went big this year.
Four-day festival
The Howl at the Moon pub in Hoxton, north London, planned a four-day long celebration.
Starting with the Six Nations final round, live music, DJs and a street party on Saturday 14 March, the party continued with more live music and Mother’s Day celebrations on Sunday 15 March.
This week, the pub has planned a St. Patrick’s Day special pub quiz with a £1,000 jackpot up for grabs, Spice Bags in collaboration with Thrift Taco and more live music.
Cask favourite gets new pump clip

As part of Greene King’s 2026 Fresh Cask Releases calendar, its Spring Break beer will be available from March through to the end of April, with new pump clip designs for special occasions.
Spring Break 4.4% ABV golden ale will remain true to its popular recipe: hoppy, light, with hints of peach, lychee and tropical notes, according to the Suffolk-based pub operator and brewer. However, operators can choose from a variety of pump clip designs.
For St Patrick’s Day, this included the ‘Four Leaf’ badge, described by Greene King as “a fresh, seasonal, spring themed pump clip inspired by St Patrick’s Day, bringing a sense of optimism and a reason to celebrate”. Read more here.
