Following a similar recipe to the classic Hugo Spritz, the Strawberry Hugo benefits from the addition of Chamberyzette for a refreshing twist on the cocktail.
A spokesperson for Mangrove Global told The MA: “Consumers are already aboard the Hugo train, we also know they love to see a twist on a classic.
Gentle blush
“The addition of a Low ABV Alpine Strawberry Vermouth adds sophistication and a gentle blush to the tipple. It’s inviting, appeals to the moderate drinker and is very drinkable.”
The spirits distributor added operators can expect to make approximately 80% gross profit with the serve, which they advised should retail at £12 per cocktail.
In addition, the ingredients can also be tailored so the cocktail can be sold in jugs, making it a versatile option for pubs and bars.
“Hospitality Venues will increase their margin on the Hugo by using the lower cost Chamberyzette, a sumptuous and sweet aperitif known as ‘the taste of the Belle Epoque’”, the spokesperson added.
Refreshing twist
“We saw two mammoth trends take hold of the spirits trade in 2025 – and these new consumer favourites are only set to grow again this year.
“The Hugo Spritz quickly became the long-drink of the year, with its sweet elderflower undertones and refreshing fizz quenching the thirst of customers all over Europe.
“And much like Hugo, 2025 was a great year for the low- and no- category, too. The Strawberry Hugo brings these two trends these two together for a refreshing twist.”
