A trade association is calling on hospitality operators support in assessing the levels of concern across the sector on rising energy prices.

UKHospitality has launched a survey to quantify the level of concern across different energy types and identify when the particular points of vulnerability for the sector might be.

The results of the survey will be used to support the associations engagements with Government on the issue, and tailor its calls for measures to support operators during this challenging period.

The survey is open until 5pm on March 25, and can be accessed here: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/8753354/UKHospitality-energy-market-survey-Spring-2026

The conflict in Iran and the wider region is heavily impacting global energy prices. As the sector-wide trade body, UKHospitality is engaging with Government about how this will affect the sector and the measures that may need to be taken to ease financial impacts.

Kate Nicholls, Chair of UKHospitality, said: “The recent hikes to energy prices are extremely worrying. I know there are many operators that have already been impacted, particularly those that have fixed contracts ending or rely on heating oil.

“To help inform our daily engagement with Government on this issue, we need your help to demonstrate the level of concern and further identify the particular areas of vulnerability. I would urge all operators to complete this short survey to help us robustly make the case to Government about the need to prepare business support measures - thank you.”

Don’t miss your opportunity to have your input into a situation which continues to cause major concern for operators across the hospitality spectrum.
