JD Wetherspoon has launched a new range of lamb and beef burgers using fresh meat from Northern Ireland.

The operator spent a considerable amount of time sourcing the new burgers which are produced from grass-fed sheep and cattle. The meat is made into burgers in the Province using specially selected cuts of lamb and beef.

'The quality of any burger depends on every aspect being just right, from farm to fork, and judging from customers' response, all the efforts and taste tests have resulted in one of the best burgers out there,' said head of catering Phil Sermon.

The burgers are being offered as part of a classic burger meal deal, which includes a burger, chips and a choice of drink. Diners can choose from fresh beef burgers, minted lamb burger, vegetable burger or chicken burger.

The choice of drinks includes Strongbow, Foster's, Pedigree, Stella Artois, Coldwater Creek, Strathmore water or Pepsi.

Sermon added: 'The clubs which we already offer with an inclusive drink, such as the curry club and steak club, have proven very popular and so what better way to launch the new range of burgers?'
