London pub relaunched with Cornish pop up kitchen

The Adam & Eve in Homerton, East London, is relaunching with a pop-up food concept from the Cornwall Project.

Chef Matt Chatfield of pop up concept the Cornish Grill will run the pub kitchen in conjunction with The Cornwall Project, a collaboration between Cornish suppliers and London chefs.

Chatfield delivers Cornish meat, vegetables and fish to top restaurants such as Pitt Cue, Pollen St Street Social and The Ledbury.

The same produce will be used at the Homerton site with the menu offering classic British pub dishes using Cornish meat, fish and vegetables to customers from 30 June.

Dishes will include hot roast beef on potato bread with mustard butter and gravy dip and the Philip Warren burger with Cornish Yarg.

Michelin-starred chef Alyn Williams is consulting on the project.

The site will also run a ‘Gout Fortnight’ from launch, where all dishes on the menu will be available to customers at 50% off up until 14 July.

The pub will also be serving bar snacks supplied by the Quality Chop House in Exmouth Market as well as beers from Yorkshire, Cornwall and Hackney in East London.

The Adam & Eve, which is a Spirit lease, is the latest venture from Michael Nicholas who operates pub company Bruce Bar.
