Pub group JD Wetherspoon (JDW) has announced it is continuing its lower prices on a range of alcoholic drinks.

The offer was set to end on Tuesday 30 November but will now run for a further three months until the end of February 2022.

More than 750 pubs are also adding to the offer with a mini (200ml) bottle of Prosecco at £2.99 and a 750ml bottle for £10.99.

In addition, all hot drinks including a range of coffees, tea and hot chocolate, will cost 99p with free refills.

The 99p offer is at 671 of JDW sites and features drinks such as a pint of Ruddles Best (some pubs will be serving Greene King IPA), a bottle of Becks and a 25ml measure of Bell’s whisky including a mixer.

Drinks choice

At a further 99 pubs, the pint of ale will cost £1.10 with the bottle of Becks and 25ml Bell’s including a mixer at 99p each.

This will be the offer in Scotland and Wales as both countries have minimum unit pricing restrictions.

Furthermore, at 770 pubs, a 25ml measure of Gordon’s gin including a mixer is £1.99, a 175ml glass of Coldwater Creek (including Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot and White Zinfandel Rosé) costs £1.69, with a bottle of Hardy’s (Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Shiraz, Rosé) is £6.99.

JDW chairman Tim Martin said: “Our pubs are known for their excellent choice of drinks at value-for-money prices at all times.

“We are delighted to be extending our lower prices until the end of February.”

Food offer

Earlier this month (November), the company announced it was dropping prices on a variety of meals across 660 of its sites until February next year.

The lower prices will be on a multitude of breakfast, pub classic and deli meals alongside steaks and curries.

About three quarters (77%) of JDW’s estate are serving a breakfast muffin (fried egg, sausage, bacon, American-style cheese in an English muffin) with a choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate for £2.49 – this is a price reduction of about 16% although prices do vary across the portfolio.

Alternatively, MOMA Porridge with honey or banana with a choice of hot drinks is available for £1.99.
