Heineken SmartDispense has announced it will host its inaugural Energy Well Spent Summit, which will take place on 12 July at Villa Park, Birmingham.

The event will centre around the core themes of sustainability and wellbeing, with the idea of bringing the hospitality industry together to share expert advice that attendees could implement in their business.

The day will consist of sector experts hosting dedicated panel discussions, breakaway sessions and a keynote speech from a special guest looking at wellbeing, which will be tailored to the hospitality sector.

EPC legislation advice

The discussions will encourage audience participation, covering topical issues such as how to approach and prepare your business ahead of the upcoming EPC (energy performance certificate) legislation, tips for enhancing staff wellbeing and how to use technology to enhance customer experience.

Richard Stephens, head of SmartDispense and technical services, said: “We stand in solidarity with the industry as we drive the renewed growth of the on-trade channel. We’re actively looking for ways to offer practical support that will make a difference in outlet, while also helping operators to think about sustainable solutions to future-proof their businesses.

“By bringing the sector together, we can support each other, learn from one another, and create a positive outlook for the months to come. SmartDispense is the perfect vehicle to host this event as the technology is designed to create energy and time savings for a more sustainable cellar management system. The ethos of this solution will come to life throughout the Energy Well Spent Summit.”

Free entry

He continued: “Although we don’t yet have all the answers, the Energy Well Spent Summit will aim to encourage the sharing of experiences and solutions while providing tangible support to help as many businesses as possible across our industry.”

SmartDispense reduces or removes the need for cellar cooling by chilling the beer as it leaves the keg, rather than chilling the surrounding environment. It also reduces the need to clean beer lines from once a week to once every four weeks.

Attendance for the Energy Well Spent Summit is free, but spaces are limited. If you want to book your place at the summit, click here.
