Spanish gin brand Puerto De Indias has announced the UK launch of its Blackberry flavour gin variant.

Translucent white in appearance, Puerto De Indias' new offering, which officially launched at London Cocktail Week last month, offers notes of blackberry with hints of violet caramel and fresh citrus on the nose followed by a smooth finish with a hint of cinnamon.

Puerto De Indias global consumer director Laura Noguera said: "After years of experience in this constantly evolving sector, we wanted to stay true to our innovative character and create this new flavour. With it, we hope to continue on our journey of revolutionising the way gin is produced and keep delivering on the excellent taste we are known for.”

“We have already seen great success exporting our Puerto de Indias Strawberry gin from our Sevillian distillery to the rest of the world, and we are hoping to repeat that same success and strengthen the Spanish Spirit with our Blackberry flavour.”

Produced in Seville, Spain, the Blackberry gin, which is distributed by Amber Beverage UK, is best served as a G&T with blackberries to garnish.

Amber Beverage UK head of brands Craig Chapman said: “I’m really excited about bringing the new Blackberry flavour to the UK consumer. Puerto de Indias, with its strawberry gin, is synonymous with flavour, so to be able to build on that with another incredible gin that allows us to broaden our range and offer a more autumnal offering is a great step forwards for the brand. We’re seeing excellent growth this year, and the addition of Blackberry will only help us accelerate even faster.

“Puerto de Indias took the Spanish Spirit over Covent Garden as part of the Little Cocktail Village and served up delicious cocktails as well as giving those in attendance the opportunity to be the first in the UK to taste our new Blackberry gin, which is now available for listings”.

Puerto De Indias Blackberry Gin (37.5% ABV) is availble now in 70cl bottles from Master of Malt at RRP £26.95.

Jaisalmer announces second craft gin

Jaisalmer.Gold.Cocktails

Indian drinks brand, Radico Khaitan, has announced the launch of its second craft gin in its Jaisalmer range, distributed in the UK by Lighthouse brands.

Produced in the foothills of the Himalayas and distilled at one of India's oldest distilleries, the new serve is infused with 18 handpicked botanicals, 14 of which are sourced from India, including coriander and saffron from Jaisalmer itself, Darjeeling green tea, Nagpur orange peel, Nutmeg from Karnataka, juniper berries, caraway, lemongrass, liquorice root and locally sourced rose petals from around the distillery.

The 43% ABV gin is also enhanced by gold filtration, a unique production process wherein the gin slowly passes through a filter made of intertwined golden silk filament, enriching the gin with gold ions and providing a smooth and balanced taste, presented in a gold gin bottle inspired by the architecture of the palaces and windows carved out of the yellow sandstone in Jaisalmer.

Radico Khaitan president of international business Sanjeev Banga said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of the second luxury gin in the Jaisalmer Range, steeped in Indian history and tradition.

"Jaisalmer Gold Gin is distilled using the finest quality Indian botanicals including saffron and enhanced by gold filtration, it is a refreshing burst of India on your palate.”

The new serve is available now from Master of Malt in 500ml bottles at RRP £39.
