The Dog & Gun in Skelton was awarded the three Rosettes. AA said the venues with three Rosettes were outstanding restaurants, achieving standards demanding national recognition well beyond their local area.

Exceptional level

The AA Rosettes scheme aims to celebrate successful cooking at different levels across the UK and is awarded by the AA’s team of inspectors with a wealth of experience in assessing quality.

AA hotel and hospitality services managing director Simon Numphud said: “This year we’ve seen an exceptional level of culinary excellence demonstrated by those receiving our coveted three and four AA Rosettes.

“I’m constantly inspired by the resilience, innovation and quality demonstrated by these trailblazers in our industry.

“Congratulations to the chefs and front-of-house teams who have helped make their Rosette awards possible.”

Traditionally, each winner of the Rosette also receive a porcelain AA plate. RAK Porcelain is the sponsor for the 2023 AA Rosette Awards and head of sales UK Craig Martin said: “We are absolutely delighted to provide the AA Rosette plates, which are the hallmark of culinary excellence.

“It’s fantastic to recognise these outstanding restaurants, which are among the best in the UK. Congratulations to all the worth recipients.”
