There is just under four weeks to go until the MA Leaders Club visits Newcastle and we can now reveal a flavour of the agenda.

The event will be taking place on Thursday 18 May in the city where delegates will be visiting the best of what Newcastle has to offer as part of the conference and study tour.

A number of top operators and Newcastle experts will be setting the scene, revealing what it’s like to trade in the city alongside where the opportunities and challenges are.

Marketing tips

With more and more younger consumers embracing the social media phenomenon that is TikTok, how can businesses unlock the marketing potential of the channel? We'll be hearing from TikTok marketing specialist Vic Banham who will be offering insight into how you and your teams can make the most of a powerful marketing channel.

After the Government announced it was “modernising” the rates system, John Webster of Colliers will be giving an update on the current business rates market and what it means for operators.

With a multitude of headwinds continuing to battle the sector from rocketing costs to staffing issues, we’ll hear from operators on how they are facing the constant storm and any advice they can offer to fellow business owners.

Discussion opportunity

A number of operators are employing more and more apprentices as part of their recruitment strategy and delegates at the conference will hear directly from apprentices about the highs and lows of their courses in pub businesses.

Furthermore, Kaya Heaton and Alex Eade from Footprint Digital will be talking about how you can be more visible online, and how to convert those window shoppers into visiting customers.

There’ll also be an opportunity to discuss the current ongoing cost challenges with fellow operators as part of a table workshop.

With all this and plenty more to come, sign up for MA Leaders Newcastle here.
