The countdown to this year’s Great British Pub Awards, known as the Oscars of the pub trade, is over with the event taking place today (Tuesday 19 September).

Pubs from across the country have been battling it out to be named the Great British Pub of the Year.

The winners from a plethora of categories will be announced this evening at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse.

For almost a quarter of a century, the Great British Pub Awards has been shining a spotlight on the real champions of the trade – the operators who are in the thick of the action every day.
