Beer and cider collab: Siren and Red Fin teams have come together

Pubs are set to benefit after Siren Craft Brew and Red Fin Cider announced they have joined forces in a bid to collaborate without either having a fiscal interest in the other.

The initiative will service pubs and venues in Berkshire, Brighton and London, and is active now.

On-trade customers can now purchase Red Fin cider products directly from Siren, packed in the brewery’s 30-litre stainless steel kegs.

Two Red Fin ciders are now available to customers alongside Siren’s craft beer offering of pale ales, IPAs, sours, stouts and lagers with the pair stating venues can consolidate their beer and cider deliveries and empty collections to simplify their logistics.

Further benefits to publicans include the option to take advantage of collaborative brand activations and events, designed to engage customers, boost footfall and elevate the presence of the drinks offering within the venue.

‘Strategic’ partnership

Custom installations will also be offered, ideal for new businesses, refurbishments or venues looking to shake up their offering.

The businesses confirmed the partnership “isn’t financial and neither company has a stake in the other”.

The independent businesses describe the relationship as a strategic partnership designed to provide quality, flavourful beverages to pubs, bars and restaurants.

Red Fin co-founder Freddie Rouse said: “This partnership allows us and Siren to explore new projects together in collaboration, sharing all of our joint experience and resources.

“Having worked in craft beer for many years, it’s something I’ve never done before but I’m confident it will work well.

“We have known a lot of the Siren team for many years and are thrilled to be able to work so closely with them to explore some fun new projects together. We will be running exclusive production runs for Siren into their 30-litre kegs.”

Better support customers

Siren Craft Brew founder Darron Anley added: “We’re a passionately independent brewery and we’re always on the hunt for new ways that we can collaborate with like-minded businesses and better support our customers.

“This unique partnership not only improves our combined product offering but makes life easier for publicans who are continually under pressure on time, finances and resources.”

Siren Craft Brew was established in 2013, with its best-selling beers available to the on and off-trade being Lumina Session IPA and Soundwave IPA.

In May 2024, it opened its flagship 4,000sq ft brewery tap room and kitchen in central Reading, where Red Fin ciders are also now available on tap.

Red Fin Cider is now entering its fifth month of trading and believes cider should be as high standard as craft beer. Its founders are Rouse, Graeme Baldwin and David Tugwell.
