Satan’s Whiskers first opened its doors in 2013 and focuses on delivering exceptional classic cocktails from a daily-changing menu.
This was the third time the Bethnal Green-based venue has claimed the top spot, and for 2025, replaced last year’s number one Schofield’s Bar, which was number three on this year’s list, behind Edinburgh’s Panda & Sons, which was in second.
Some 12 new bars entered the list this year with the highest new entry Dram in Soho, London coming in at number eight.
New entries
Liverpool saw two new entries – Bar Glue at number 38 and Sister Ray at 45 while Newcastle also returned with Mother Mercy re-entering the list at 42.
Furthermore, the Isle of Man joined the list for the first time with Kiki Lounge coming in at number 49.
Award winners were also announced with Equal Parts in Hackney, London named as One to Watch. The bar celebrates timeless warmth of vinyl records with expertly crafted drinks and a cosy atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Little Mercies in Crouch End, London was awarded Sustainable Bar of the Year while the Hideout in Bath, which was this year’s number nine, took home the title of Bar Team of the Year.
The 2025 Rising Star was named as Mandi Tabatabai from Cocktail Trading Co whose ability to connect storytelling with mixology wowed the judges at the final competition in London earlier in the year.
Dedication and passion
