The ceremony took place last night (Monday 9 June) at Magazine London.
The Devonshire in London’s Soho, which is also number two on the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs list, took the title of Gastropub of the Year for the second time running and was named the 12th best restaurant in the UK.
Current number one on the gastropubs list, the Unruly Pig in Bromeswell, Suffolk was number 28 out of the 100 best restaurants while the Sportsman in Seasalter, Kent was number 34.
The Kinneuchar Inn, Leven in Fife came in at number 66 while the French House in Soho, central London was number 71.

Number 75 was the Angel at Hetton in North Yorkshire, Heft in High Newton, Cumbria was number 77.
Moreover, the Fordwich Arms near Canterbury in Kent was named number 80 and Parkers Arms in Newton-in-Bowland, Lancashire was number 85.

The Ritz in the capital was named the Best restaurant in the UK 2025. Led by veteran chef John Williams MBE, the venue climbed to the top of the prestigious list after being regular on it for many years.
Restaurant editor Stefan Chomka said: “As a bastion of fine French food served in unashamedly refined surroundings, The Ritz stands alone in the UK.
“The top 100 restaurants list reflects the diverse nature of our eating out scene and the changing trends within it, whether they be less formality, more farm to fork menus or embracing new cuisines but it’s also wonderful to see a restaurant unwavering in its focus finally get the recognition it merits.”
Award winners
He added: “The Ritz is an exemplary restaurant, one fully deserving of the title National Restaurant of the Year.”
Second place was awarded to Mark Birchall’s Moor Hall in Aughton, Lancashire, which won a third Michelin star this year. Birchall was also named the 2025 Chef of the Year.
More than half (56) of the top 100 venues hail from the capital, showing London’s dominance in the restaurant scene.
