Loungefest, which started in 2013, is the company’s yearly celebration to thank more than 9,000 of its team members for their year-round hard work and dedication.
A fleet of coaches transporting staff from almost 300 sites across the UK descended on Ragley Hall in Warwickshire, which hosted the party.
The day-long festival featured fairground rides, DJ sets, music stages hosting performances from bands and Loungers’ staff, games, activities and a variety of food and drink stalls.
Calendar highlight
CEO Nick Collins said: “Loungefest 2025 has been incredible - watching thousands of our team members party together in these fabulous surroundings really brings home what we have created since the first one back in 2013.
“It’s so worthwhile closing all the sites for 24 hours to see everyone come together to celebrate, be themselves and enjoy a really fun day.
“Loungefest is the highlight of the Loungers calendar and while there would have been a few sore heads and tired feet opening the sites on Tuesday morning, I think everyone would agree it was worth it, in what was for me undoubtedly our best Loungefest yet!”
In February, it was revealed Fortress Investment Group completed on the deal to acquire Loungers for £354.4m. The acquisition was agreed at the end of January.
Business performance
Furthermore, last year saw Loungers announce a 4.7% rise in like-for-like sales for the 24 weeks ended 6 October 2024.
The group opened 17 new sites in the period while total revenue increased by 19.2% to £178.3m.
It passed the 250 site mark in March with the opening of Rivolo Lounge in Norwich.
Currently, the business has four venues under its roadside dining brand Brightside, 36 sites under its Cosy Club brand and 254 within its Lounge offer, which span the country from St Ives in Cornwall to Morpeth in Northumberland.
