Craft beer has been the darling of many pub customers over recent years even though the price a pub can charge has risen by an average of 5.8% in the past few months alone.

That is just one of the findings from the exclusive The MA Pint Price Survey, which has been used to help collate the Beer Report 2025 – the latest iteration of the comprehensive guide to beer from The Morning Advertiser and will be released on the week of Monday 23 June.

A study of four of the most popular craft beer pint brands has seen two leap forward in the average price a pub or bar can expect to command while one has made a smaller gain and another has lost ground somewhat.

Pubs can expect Camden Hells to bring in £6.34 a pint – a giant leap (10.8%) on pricing from the start of the year when The MA survey found it would cost a customer an average of £5.72.

Average draught pint is £5.17

Meanwhile, BrewDog Punk IPA has reached the same price of £6.34 having been £5.64 in early 2025 (a 12.5% lift).

Camden Pale Ale has seen its price lift from £5.59 to £5.69 (1.7% up) over the same time period while Beavertown Neck Oil is now £6.24 versus its prior price of £6.36 (1.9% fall) for 568ml.

We recently reported on the average pint price for all beer types in our exclusive survey and found over a few short months, the average pint will cost £5.17 now – up from £5.08 at the start of the year.
