The UK’s largest pub company Stonegate Group is giving away more than 1.7m pints if England beat Spain in the Women’s Euros final.

Stonegate has partnered with Heineken UK to launch what the pub group claims to be “the biggest free pint giveaway the nation has ever seen”.

If England are successful this Sunday (27 July), the free drink will be available in more than 500 venues and claimed via Stonegate’s MiXR app until 11.59pm on the day of the final.

Options include a pint of Amstel, Cruzcampo, Birra Moretti, Heineken or an alcohol-free bottle of Heineken 0.0.

Stonegate Group commercial director Nick Marks said: “We have loved supporting the Lionesses this summer in our venues and with one of the most dramatic tournaments of recent memory, it’s no wonder the nation has fallen in love with this incredible team.

“Like the rest of the country, we will be cheering on the Lionesses to win the Euros this Sunday.”

Biggest pint giveaway

Marks added: “If they can get over the line, then what better way to celebrate then with the biggest ever free pint giveaway this nation has ever seen.

“At Stonegate Group, our goal is to be the market leader for inclusive sport with this offer, which is our latest initiative to showcase our venues as the place to be for the big match.”

Marks also said the company is expecting the nation to “turn up in their numbers”, urging customer to pre-book to guarantee a seat ahead of the game.

Fellow pub company Greene King is expecting 250,000 pints to be served during the game.

CEO Nick Mackenzie said: “There’s a real buzz building across our pubs ahead of the final this weekend and we can’t wait to welcome customers through our doors.

“Big moments like this show the role pubs play in bringing people together - to celebrate and soak up the atmosphere.”

Pint prediction

“Our teams are pulling out all the stops with big screens, chant books and the introduction of our new Cheers Her(e) pale ale,” the Greene King boss added.

“We’re expecting a quarter of a million pints to be poured during match time as fans cheer on the Lionesses in what’s already been a thrilling tournament.

“Most importantly though, we’re wishing the team all the best - we’ll be backing them all the way!”

Recent figures from VoucherCodes.co.uk showed football fans are set to spend £70.8m at hospitality venues for the final.

Furthermore, 4.5m consumer are expected to watch the match from a hospitality venue while drinks sales are predicted to hit £49.4m and food sales to reach £21.4m, according to the Women’s UEFA Euro 2025 Spending Report.

Previous figures from the British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA) estimated the tournament could see an additional 2.6m pints poured, resulting in a £13m boost to the economy.
