There are just days to go until The Morning Advertiser reveals the top brands to stock next year in the latest edition of the Drinks List.

Exclusive data from CGA by NIQ will look at a plethora of drinks categories, charting how products have performed in the on-trade in recent months.

The Drinks List: Top Brands to Stock in 2026, which is sponsored by Heineken, Fuller’s, Global Brands, Greene King and Thatchers, covers 16 categories.

These include beer segments such as cask ale, craft beer, low and no alcohol beer and lager as well as cider.

Drinks categories covered

It also covers spirits as a whole alongside gin, rum, Tequila, vodka, whisky and liqueurs & specialties as well as ready-to-drink, mixers, soft drinks and wine.

The top 10 selling brands in each of these categories will be ranked from best-performing when it comes to volume and value sales throughout the year from October 2024 to 4 October 2025.

It will also indicate how each has fared with last year, comparing data from the previous period while highlighting any new entries to the list.

Brand performance

The latest edition is set to be available to access during next week (commencing Monday 1 December).

You’ll be able to see where some segments have seen rises, where others have shrunk.

Last year’s list found the low & no beer category was soaring while craft beer also enjoyed large volume and value sales rises in half of its top 10 while all gin brands saw declines in both volume and value sales.

The Morning Advertiser has been running The Drinks List for a number of years, helping give operators a head start in formulating successful drinks menus.
