Timothy Taylor’s Landlord takes top spot in Drinks List

Timothy Taylor’s Landlord is officially the best-selling cask ale in UK pubs and bars.

This is according to the latest Drinks List compiled by The Morning Advertiser using exclusive data from CGA by NIQ.

The Keighley-based brewery has edged ahead of Sharp’s Doom Bar and leads the way on volume and value sales in the Drinks List: Top Brands to Stock in 2026 list.

Although sales in volume and value have fallen across the top 10 in general, there are some bucking the trend with landlord losing sales in the region of about 100 hectolitres (HL) but gaining almost £3m in value sales.

Positive moves from London Pride

Volumes fell by 0.1% from 102,654HL to 102,552HL while value rose from £79.0m to £81.8m – a 3.6% uplift.

Sharp’s Doom Bar witnessed an 18.8% drop in volume sales and 13.8% in value sales, according to statistics from CGA by NIQ.

The most progressive brand within the category has been Fuller’s London Pride which sits in third place. It has seen a 1.6% hike in volume sales to 78,113HL while value sales have risen from £61.1m to £65.2m – a 6.7% boost.

Greene King Abbot Ale is the only other brand to see an uptick in value sales as this went up by 2.2% to reach £46.9m and push the variant into fourth spot from sixth last year.
