Hook Norton Brewery will launch its latest seasonal cask ale – Paddock’s Pour (3.9% ABV) – via a tasting event at the George at Brailes pub in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The brewery, which is famed for its beers Hooky Best Bitter, Old Hooky Premium Ale and Off The Hook IPA, will host an event where customers can meet the brewers and try the new brew on Thursday 5 March between 6pm and 7pm.

Hook Norton Brewery said of Paddock’s Pour: “This golden thoroughbred bursts from the gate with a bright citrus kick. Smooth malts keep it steady in the stride, while a refreshing finish sees it go down faster than a favourite in the final furlong.”

Special to be host

General manager of the site, Jess, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming Paddock’s Pour to The George. We love working with Hook Norton Brewery and can’t wait to share this with everyone.

“It’s always special to host events like this – there’s such a great buzz in the pub and it’s a wonderful chance for everyone to come together, try something new and celebrate great beer brewed just down the road.”

Balance and easy drinking

Ed Clarke, lead brewer and the latest of six generations of brewers at Hook Norton Brewery, added: “Paddock’s Pour is all about balance and easy drinking. It’s a bright, characterful cask ale that nods to tradition while keeping a lively pace. Launching it at the George at Brailes feels like the perfect finishing post… excuse the racing puns.”

Paddock’s Pour will be appearing on the bar in March at the brewery, in Hook Norton pubs and in freehouses across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
