The Coaching Inn Group said: “Ahead of the upcoming bank holiday, the group is seeing strong confidence in Easter travel, with bookings for the period already 6% ahead of the same point last year.
“This uplift is underpinned by a 6% rise in rooms sold while guests are increasingly choosing to enhance their stay through packages and upgrades, pushing average spend up by 2%.”

Competitive category
The pub-accommodation model was celebrated at The Publican Awards on 25 March 2026 when Chestnut Group won the award of Best Accommodation Operator.
In an extremely competitive category, Chestnut saw off competition from Cheshire Cat Pubs & Inns, Chickpea Group, Heartwood Inns and Stay Original.
The east of England operator operates 25 sites, 22 of which offer accommodation, comprising more than 400 bedrooms across pubs-with-rooms and larger house-style properties.
All accommodation operators are seeing positive results from package deals and The Coaching Inn Group is seeing benefits too with guests being rewarded for extending their stays, which helps boost food & beverage revenues and rooms performance.
Lfl sales up 11.7% at Xmas
In January this year, RedCat Hospitality reported “exceptional results” for The Coaching Inn Group sites during the Christmas and new year period.
The Coaching Inn Group recorded like-for-like sales growth of 11.7% during the two-week period across Christmas and new year, with 8.4% growth across the six-week seasonal period.
It added seven sites to its estate last month (March) when RedCat transferred the George & Pilgrims, Glastonbury; the Bull Inn, Barton Mills; the Greenman, Fownhope; the Conningbrook, Ashford; Breckland Lodge, Attleborough; the Wherry Hotel, Lowestoft; and the Lion Hotel, Chelmsford from its own portfolio.
RedCat acquired The Coaching Inn Group in August 2021 for about the £50m mark.
