The finding comes from new research conducted by The Morning Advertiser (The MA) and this survey has been used to help compile our latest feature The MA Labour Report – which you can access for free right now.

There’s lots more insight in The MA Labour Report, which you can access right now by clicking here.
We’ve used lots of data from our survey plus a number of interviews with pub bosses in the sector to see what the scenario is for hospitality when it comes to the ongoing cost pressures that are affecting the number of people being employed at pubs and bars across the UK.
The increase in minimum and living wages may well be creating issues but the sector has always demonstrated its resilience and there are plenty in the sector who are taking on the challenges and finding smart ways to recruit, train and develop their teams.
Absolutely free
The report covers a multitude of aspects such as the variety of job roles available within the front and back of house and the expected wages per hour for each member of staff in those positions.
What happens next is a big question for the industry and with so many jobs being lost, some of the best in the sector tell The MA how they are combating these losses – so there’s plenty of advice available for those willing to listen.
Finally, we take a look at how technology can be used to cover areas that either used to be fulfilled by staff members or it works out much more cost-effectively to use the computer intelligence available to the on-trade.
There’s so much to read in The MA Labour Report and it’s absolutely FREE! All you have to do is click here then fill in a few details and access will be yours.
