The family business located at Myrtle Farm, Sandford, Somerset, said consumer demand for alcohol-free options continues to rise and cited KAM/Thatchers Cider Drinkers research from April 2025, which claimed three in four people say they’re moderating their alcohol consumption while almost half say they would stay longer in a venue if they could have an alcohol-free version of their favourite drink.

Thatchers Zero is claimed to be the No.1 low & no apple cider in pubs with sales up 89% year on year, according to CGA brand track, October 2025, while the original Thatchers Blood Orange remains popular in the on-trade.
Bottled format
Thatchers said: “As more guests moderate, Thatchers’ latest 0.0% ABV innovation gives venues a delicious, premium, alcohol-free, option that will help keep customers in venue for longer” with the company stating the drink’s flavour as “a vibrant, mouthwatering, alcohol-free, juicy cider, crafted with the sweetest dessert apples and bursting with blood orange flavour”.
Although there is no draught option available, Blood Orange 0.0% ABV is available to the on-trade in 500ml bottles, which Thatchers said is “ideal for delivering a premium alcohol-free choice across key drinking occasions, from midweek socials to late night ‘book ends’”.
