In her new position, Bowyer will lead Butcombe’s managed house division through its next phase of development, with a focus on delivering a more integrated guest experience and continued commercial growth.

The multiple pub operator and brewer has also appointed Maria Bishop as head of drinks & retail while Jasper Prickett has been promoted to head of food.
Stand-out performer
Last week, Butcombe, which was crowned Best Pub Employer (501+ employees) at this year’s Publican Awards, reported “record-breaking” results across the 53 weeks to 31 January 2026, with its managed arm highlighted as a “stand-out performer”.
The businesses managed pubs and inns delivered growth of 23% during the 12-month period, with like-for-like sales up 8%, underlining the strength of the division.
Commenting on the restructure, Butcombe Group chief operating officer Jayson Perfect said: “Following a record-breaking FY26, this new structure ensures we are well positioned to build on that momentum.
“Alice’s new role reflects not only her exceptional track record within the business but also the breadth of leadership and strategic insight she brings.
Developing talent
“Alongside this, the promotions across our team demonstrate our continued commitment to recognising and developing talent as we grow.”
Butcombe’s portfolio is currently comprised of 70 managed sites, including 12 boutique inns, as well as 48 tenanted pubs, mainly concentrated in the south of England.
The company has made some significant investments into its managed estate so far this year, notably at the Brown Cow in Fulham, London, which reopened last month following a £1.3m cash injection.
In addition, its range of award-winning beers includes Butcombe Original, Tall Tales Pale Ale and Goram IPA Zero.
