Hundreds of pubs entered the prestigious competition before expert judges whittled it down across two rounds of judging before hitting the road to visit the venues this summer.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday 23 September at a glittering ceremony, held at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, where guests will be treated to an unforgettable evening with a celebration of epic proportions.

Massive achievement

Ed Bedington, editor of The Morning Advertiser, which organises the awards, said: “I’m delighted to be revealing this years finalists for the Great British Pub Awards.

“This year saw a huge number of entries into the competition and for the pubs that have made it into the finals, that’s a massive achievement.

“But the hard work doesn’t end here! Judges will now be hitting the road to visit each of our shortlisted finalists around the UK and they will have to have a final panel interview before the results are decided.

“So good luck to all this year’s finalists, I and my fellow judges look forward to visiting you over the coming weeks, and commiserations to those that missed out.

“It’s a tough competition and judges have to make some very hard decisions.”

The awards are kindly sponsored by Diageo and SIBA alongside pubco partners Admiral Taverns, Greene King, Punch Pubs, Marston’s and Stonegate Group.
