Damm UK managing director Luke White told the Morning Advertiser (MA): “We are really pleased that in 2025 the on-trade increased by 18% year-on-year.
In fact, Damm is now the fastest growing major lager supplier to the GB on-trade, with volume up 28% and value up 36%, with Estrella Damm itself one of the fastest growing lager brands in the on-trade, up 30% in volume and 39% in value.

White said Damm Lemon had also cemented its position as the number three draught flavoured beer by sales value.
He added: “This demonstrates the weight that our relationships carry with operators across the country and the strength of the portfolio, from Estrella Damm through to no and low products such as Damm Lemon and Estrella Damm 0.0%.
“With the recent increase in production capacity at the Damm Eagle Brewery and portfolio expansion, we feel well placed to keep that momentum going further into 2026.”
Old Speckled Hen deal
The update comes ahead of Damm UK’s acquisition of the Old Speckled Hen family of brands, which is set to complete on 1 July.
Greene King announced the sale in May as part of a new brewing strategy focused more closely on the on-trade.
The deal includes Old Speckled Hen, Old Golden Hen, Old Craft Hen and Old Master Hen.
Old Speckled Hen is expected to be brewed at Damm Eagle Brewery in Bedford from June next year. Until then, it will continue to be brewed at Greene King’s Westgate Brewery.
White said 2025 had been a “great year” for Damm UK, with private label and contract manufacturing growth of 34% and 40 new jobs created.
He said: “This solid business performance demonstrates the strength of our successful UK strategy, following sustained investment in the Damm Eagle Brewery, which has seen the rise of Estrella Damm and our wider portfolio.
“This has given us the platform to make bigger strategic moves to accelerate our growth, such as evolving our portfolio with the acquisition of Old Speckled Hen, cementing Damm UK’s position as the largest independent brewer in the UK market.”
UK investment
Damm has invested more than €80m, around £70m, into the Damm Eagle Brewery in Bedford in recent years.
The investment has increased production capacity, introduced new manufacturing lines and expanded the brewery’s capabilities in alcohol-free drinks and soft drinks.
Across the wider group, Damm reported revenue of €2.01bn for 2025, with international operations accounting for 30% of the business.
The company sold 22m hectolitres (hL) of beverages across its beer, water and soft drinks portfolio during the year, with Damm UK accounting for 578,000 hL, up 19% year on year.
Damm, which is marking its 150th anniversary, said it had begun a new phase of growth with the aim of doubling revenue by 2030.
