Held at the First Direct Arena and hosted by comedian Suzi Ruffell, the event saw Staffordshire microbrewery and taphouse the Tamworth Tap crowned the Great British Pub of the Year, as well as Best Pub for Beer.

The Plough at Prestbury in Cheltenham was awarded Best Pub for Families, while the Lion Malpas in Cheshire took home the gong for Best Inn, a new category for this year’s awards.
Other winners included the Tichborne Arms in Hampshire, which won the Best Pub Garden title, while the Old Ship Inn in Perth tasted success in the Greene King Pub of the Year category.
The glittering ceremony followed months of rigorous judging, with industry experts visiting some 96 pubs across the country.
