He built Laine into one of the UK’s most distinctive pub groups, known for combining strong commercial performance with creative, experience-led venues.
Since stepping down as CEO of Laine in 2024, George has focused on advisory and non-executive positions, working with emerging hospitality businesses on growth strategy, operations and brand development.
At Chickpea Group, he will work closely with the board to support the delivery of the company’s expansion plans, drawing on his expertise in pub operations, brand building and identifying growth opportunities.
