She has also held senior leadership positions at Wickes and Aldi.
New position
In her new role, Campbell will oversee Admiral’s leased and tenanted community pubs across the UK, working alongside chief executive Chris Jowsey.
Jowsey said: “Her impressive leadership record speaks for itself, and her skills and experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow the division of sustainable community pubs.
“Carol has a strong sense of community purpose and is perfectly placed to lead our team in supporting Admiral’s entrepreneurial licensees.”
Campbell added: “What drew me to Admiral was its clear belief in community pubs and the people who make them work.
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join a growing company with such a focus on relationships, backing talented licensees to build successful businesses with their own character and a real connection to their communities.”
Growth and investment
The appointment comes as Admiral Taverns prepares to increase investment across its pub estate to £38.4m in FY27, up from £34.1m in FY26.
The group also recently acquired the 10-strong Mountain Pub Company, with the sites joining its operator-managed Proper Pubs division.
Ronayne, who has spent nine years with Admiral, has overseen significant growth and investment in its leased and tenanted estate.
He said: “It’s been a pleasure to be a part of this team through the last nine years as we’ve grown to over 1,300 pubs today and achieve continued industry endorsement for our approach.
“My sincere thanks must go to all our licensees as well as the Admiral team, who together have made my time with the business so enjoyable, and I wish Carol and Admiral continued success in the coming years.”
