Enhanced support: Star Pubs & Bars is building on its Just Add Talent programme with new back-office systems
Star Pubs & Bars is adding an expanded support package for its Just Add Talent operators, a year after launching its turnover and profit share agreement.

Just Add Talent is a programme in which Star provides local operators with menus, branded products and cover many of a site’s running costs, including utilities, business rates and marketing.

Designed to add back-of-house efficiency to the programme, the new package adds a state-of-the-art back office system provided by Zonal, a comprehensive food offering – with menus, marketing materials and produce provided – as well as a 24/7 health and safety consultancy from Shield Safety to provide information and guidance on health and safety related issues to the backing provided by Star.

Back-office efficiency

Just Add Talent manager Beki Davies said: “We want Just Add Talent to be the best managed operator on the market. Our starting point was to create a unique turnover and profit share agreement that we believe is the most generous in the sector.

“We want the rest of the support to be as exceptional. We’ve worked closely with our first Just Add Talent operators and business development managers to develop this enhanced support.

“For many Just Add Talent operators, this is their first business. This package provides them with the back-office efficiency needed to allow them to focus on delivering great and personal hospitality which is the hallmark of a great local.”

As reported by The Morning Advertiser, Star Pubs & Bars introduced Just Add Talent to provide pubs with “substantial investment” in order to develop “a new breed of operators”.

The operator was recently involved in the joint £750,000 refurbishment of the Prince of Wales in Kilburn, London – with the site reopening as the Kilburn Arms.
