The move that will see Jemima Bird and William Tuffy not seeking re-election comes after the business successfully completed its recent equity fundraise and its restructuring plan.
Following the AGM, the board will consist of two executive directors and three non-executive directors, two of whom (Gavin George and Charlie McVeigh) are considered as independent by the board.
The board is also committed to appointing an additional independent non-executive director who will become chair of the company’s audit committee as soon as practicable. In addition, George and McVeigh will both serve on the Audit Committee.
The Revel Collective (TRC) operates more than 60 bars and gastropubs, trading mainly under the Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba and Peach Pubs brands.
Nominations committee
Following the AGM, the remuneration committee will consist of George and McVeigh, and will be chaired by George with the new non-executive director also to be appointed to this committee on appointment to the board.
The nominations committee will consist of chairman Luke Johnson, McVeigh, George and CEO Rob Pitcher, which will be chaired by Johnson.
Johnson said: “Will and Jemima have made significant contributions to The Revel Collective during their time on the board.
“Their strategic input and dedication have been appreciated and their efforts have played a significant part in our journey.
“We thank them for their work and wish them well in their future endeavours.”
Firmer financial footing
Both McVeigh and George were appointed to The Revel Collective board last month (October).
The Revel Collective chairman Luke Johnson said at the time: “They join the business at an exciting time. It now benefits from a much firmer financial footing and is in an improved position to deliver shareholder value.
“Both Gavin and Charlie created and led successful licensed bar businesses, and the board will gain much from their experience.
“There remains lots of work to do, and we greatly look forward to their contributions.”
