The 4% ABV beer is called 60 Years of Hurst and was created in collaboration with Sir Geoff Hurst MBE, the last surviving member of England’s iconic World Cup winning squad from 1966, who scored a hat-trick against West Germany in the final.
The ale will be available exclusively to Greene King’s Pub Partners pubs across its sites to help its operators make the most of this summer’s international football with the World Cup finals taking place in Mexico, Canada and the US from 11 June to 19 July.

Important cause
Hurst said: “60 Years of Hurst is a lovely, refreshing pint that’s perfect for watching the football with friends and I’m especially proud that it’s also helping to support Diverse Abilities, a charity that means a great deal to me.
“I hope people enjoy raising a glass this summer and supporting a really important cause at the same time.”
Brewed by the Greene King Brewery, the brewer and pubco described the beer as “super refreshing” and added: “The beer features a moderate malty body, balanced with juicy citrus and tropical fruit notes, making it perfectly suited to football occasions and summer sessions alike. It will be available in both firkins and pins for Greene King’s Pub Partners.
“As part of the collaboration with Sir Geoff Hurst MBE, 5p from every pint of 60 Years of Hurst sold will be donated to Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity that supports those with profound physical and learning disabilities across the county. The charity has existed since 1955 and is one that is close to Sir Geoff Hurst’s heart.”
Genuinely distinctive
Greene King Pub Partners managing director Dan Robinson said: “This is a hugely exciting collaboration with an England legend that is truly unique and innovative in the partnership pubs space.
“60 Years of Hurst gives our Pub Partners something genuinely distinctive to serve during the football this summer – a great tasting, easy-drinking cask ale with a brilliant story behind it.”
The beer will be available in Greene King Pub Partners Pubs from May and throughout the 2026 summer football tournament at Greene King Pub Partners’ venues. The business won Best Partnership Pub Company (501+ sites) at the 2026 Publican Awards – the seventh time the business has won the award.
