The Horses, on Ray Street, will combine a classic pub offer with ingredient led cooking, seasonal produce and British seafood.
The menu will change daily depending on the day’s catch, alongside produce from the group’s own market gardens in the Cotswolds.

Public House Group, run by Phil Winser, James Gummer and Olivier van Themsche, said the pub would champion independent producers and seasonal ingredients.
Growing estate
The opening will add to the group’s estate, which includes the Pelican in Notting Hill, the Bull in Charlbury, the Hero in Maida Vale, the Fat Badger on Golborne Road and the Hart in Marylebone.
The Bull in Charlbury won Best Pub for Food at last year’s Great British Pub Awards.
The group was founded following the opening of the Pelican in 2022, with its expansion focused on London and the Cotswolds.
Each of its sites is designed and built by the group’s in house team, Public House Studio, overseen by Winser.
Public House Group has also developed a food model where it sources directly from regenerative farms and growers. Its growing programme at Bruern Farms in the Cotswolds serves as a key vegetable supplier for the pubs.
Expansion plans
The announcement follows the appointment of Oliver Clifford as managing director earlier this month.
Clifford was previously vice president of global operations at competitive socialising concept TOCA Social and has also worked as a general manager at Soho House.
The Morning Advertiser (MA) reported last year that the group had built a central team to support expansion across sites including the Bull, the Hero, the Fat Badger and the Coach.
At the time, Gummer said the group’s focus was on “trying to make sure every single customer that’s generous enough to choose to spend money with us” had the best possible experience.
