London’s Connaught Bar was ranked at number eight on the global list, followed by Satan’s Whiskers at number 29 and Waltz at number 32.

The three venues are also recognised in the Top 50 Cocktail Bars list, with Satan’s Whiskers ranked third, Waltz fifth and Connaught Bar at number 31.
The World’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list was announced last week at a ceremony in Milan, Italy, and featured venues from 26 cities, including 14 new entries.
Hong Kong’s Bar Leone was named The World’s Best Bar for the second year running, having become the first bar in Asia to take the top spot last year.
London presence
This year’s list saw Paris, Hong Kong and New York tied as the cities with the most venues, with four bars each.
Paris overtook London as Europe’s most represented cocktail destination, with The Cambridge Public House at number 13, Bar Nouveau at number 15, De Vie at number 23 and Danico at number 26.
Edinburgh’s Panda & Sons, which appeared at number 72 in the extended 51 to 100 list, and is number nine in the Top 50 Cocktail Bars list, also picked up the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award for its Transcend menu.
Special awards
Other award winners included Mexico City’s Bar Mauro, which entered the list at number 10 and received the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award, while Athens’ The Bar in Front of the Bar won the Nikka Highest Climber Award after rising 28 places to number 19.
Melbourne’s Three Horses was named the Campari One to Watch, Line in Athens won the Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award and New York’s Schmuck received the Three Cents Best New Opening Award.
