Constellation Europe has partnered with Baron Philippe de Rothschild to create a "consumer-friendly" range of Bordeaux wines.

The launch of the range, named Enchanté and made with "top-end Bordeaux Graves-style wines but without the expense to the consumer," is backed by a £1m marketing investment, said Constellation.

The line-up includes Merlot Cabernet 2005, Bordeaux Rosé 2007 and Sauvignon Blanc 2007.

The wine's labelling uses a clear design of two overlapping circles, tasting notes and an "easy to pronounce" name in an effort to stand out and make the brand both appealing and accessible.

The brand's advertising will use the tagline "a new take on an old world" and feature traditional-style paintings with modern items dropped in.

Baron Philippe de Rothschild managing director Xavier de Eizaguirre said: "Enchanté is a range of three delicious Appellation Controlée wines, providing the perfect combination of the highly-respected and famous name of Baron Philippe de Rothschild and enjoyment through modern wine taste, style and consistency."

Enchanté has already secured listings with Matthew Clark and Punch.
