Tradeteam nets C&C Group deal in Scotland

Tradeteam has signed a five-year distribution deal with C&C Group to service its Scottish customers.

This comes six months after the two companies agreed on distribution in Northern Ireland.

The agreement will see Tradeteam deliver C&C's brands, including Tennents lager to pubs, clubs and bars, and packaged kegs, bottles and cases to wholesalers.

C&C will benefit from "strategic stock replenishment, forecasting services and an overspill storage facility" for the brewery at Tradeteam's neighbouring Cambuslang site.

The logistics firm has handled C&C's distribution since the company bought Wellpark Brewery and the Tennent's brands in August 2009.

Tradeteam account director Simon Gallimore said: "We will certainly be drawing on our extensive experience of the Scottish marketplace and applying the same innovative delivery approach used to meet C&C's requirements in Northern Ireland."
