Multiple operator Chameleon Pub Company has celebrated 10 years in business by unveiling a boost in year-on-year profits.

The company, which runs seven pubs in the North of England, saw operating profits jump 62 per cent.

Managing director Phil Strong said: "We've seen the industry go through many changes over the last 10 years.

"The smoking ban brought challenges and opportunities, as has the recession, but we've built and retained an excellent management team and workforce and have adapted our offering to suit the needs of our customers.

"We're proud to be a strong and healthy business looking forward to the next decade and beyond.

"There's never been a better time for people to eat and drink out and we will continue to enjoy delivering what the public want."

The company started out with three leased pubs and at one stage had 11 outlets.
