The not-for-profit group that offers accreditation for the service of high-quality beer also stated the activity that will be taking place during Cask Ale Week, which runs from 17 September to 27 September.
Paul Nunny, the founder of Cask Marque, which also began Cask Ale Week in the early 2000s, said: “We’ve had a fantastic response from pubs and brewers this year but signing up is only the beginning.

“Now we need to turn all that support into people going to the pub and drinking cask.
“We’ve got thousands of pubs talking about cask at the same time. That’s a tremendous opportunity. Get people tasting it, tell them about the beers on the bar and make sure the quality is right. If we do that, we can turn Cask Ale Week into something that lasts well beyond these 11 days.”

Events galore
Cask Ale Week is supported financially by the Cask Matters group, which also funds a Cask Seminar at Brewers Hall, in Barbican, London, on Wednesday 23 September with Cask Marque responsible for cask deliveries to the event.
During the week, other activities include the launch of the CAMRA Good Pub Guide 2027 on Thursday (24 September) and Suffold brewer Adnams will be brewing Adnams Extra – its Champion Beer of Britain in 1993 – for sales during the entire month.
Cask Marque added Greene King will be offering a 25p discount on pints to the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) members in its pubs while Punch Pubs licensees will have beer taster kits for customers.
Meanwhile, Mitchells & Butlers sites are offering a scheme where a customer can buy five pints of cask and receive a free pint in its Ember Inns pubs, and Nicholson’s pubs are offering pints of its Pale Ale – which is brewed by St Austell Brewery – at £4 a pint in London.
And St Austell Brewery pubs are also offering the buy five pints of cask and get one free deal.
Cask Ale Week T-shirt
Nunny added other events range from the Great Central Beer Festival in Loughborough, with more than 80 beers alongside its heritage railway, to a special festival at Palmers Brewery in Bridport. The Balham Music & Beer Festival is combining 50 beers and ciders with seven live bands, while Saltaire Brewery is hosting three days of beer, street food and live music.
Elsewhere, brewery tours are taking place around the country, beer festivals stretch from Newquay to Nairn and Liverpool to St Albans, and JW Lees has created an ale trail covering 70 pubs.
On the Cask Ale Week website, consumers can see events in their local area and the Caskfinder App followers can claim a Cask Ale Week T-shirt by visiting 10 pubs during the period. Last year, 242 T-shirts were claimed.
