Public House Group was named Food-led Pub Group of the Year, beating finalists including Anglian Country Inns, Ardent Pub Company, Beckford Group, Chickpea Group and Heartwood Collection.

The award follows a period of expansion for Public House Group, which recently added the Walmer Castle in Notting Hill to its estate, taking its portfolio to eight sites.

Its estate also includes the Pelican in Notting Hill, the Horses in Clerkenwell and the Bull in Charlbury, which won Best Pub for Food at the 2025 Great British Pub Awards.

Fellow finalist Ardent Pub Group was previously named Best Premium Food Offer at the 2026 Publican Awards.

Bar and opening awards

Inception Group, the operator behind Mr Fogg’s and Cahoots, was named Bar Group of the Year, ahead of finalists Albert’s Schloss, Humble Grape, Incipio, the Alchemist and Vagabond.

The win follows the group’s opening of Mr Fogg’s Market Tavern in Covent Garden, which includes a dedicated Guinness Saloon.

Meanwhile, Incipio Group secured Best New Opening for its Olympia development in west London.

The operator launched four hospitality concepts at Olympia earlier this year, including Bar Arriba, Wolves of Tokyo, Lillie’s and Arbour, as part of the wider redevelopment.

The recognition marks another award for Incipio, which was named Best Experiential Operator at the 2026 Publican Awards earlier this year.

Further recognition

Mission Mars, which operates the Albert’s Schloss bar brand alongside Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana, won Restaurant Group of the Year for businesses with more than 20 sites.

Meanwhile, Lenny’s was named One to Watch, while Lenny’s hospitality recruitment initiative for young people received the Innovation of the Year award.

Other winners included Hawksmoor, which was named International Group of the Year, Flat Iron, which secured Restaurant Group of the Year for businesses with 20 sites or fewer, and Bleecker Burger, which won QSR Brand of the Year.

HOP Vietnamese was recognised for Best Scalable Concept, while the sale of The Ivy Collection received the Impact Award, and CEO and co-founder of Leon Restaurants, John Vincent, was named Person of the Year.
