The prize is a four-day gourmet tour of Parma, famous for its ham and Parmesan cheese, with the opportunity to try the very best cuisine of the Emilia Romagna region. The winner and their guest will stay at the Palace Hotel Maria Luigia, right in the heart of the city, and visit famous cultural sights, including the Teatro Verdi and Verdi's home.

The problem for pubs has been how to take advantage of the growing British enthusiasm for this Italian classic - research from Mintel says that just over a third of us will have eaten out in a pizza restaurant in the last three months.
