Put a hand up for Horse & Groom
The Horse & Groom, a former winner of the North Oxfordshire Campaign for Real Ale's Pub of the Year, is seeking new owners.
The traditional 16th-century freehouse is in Caulcott on the B4030 between Bicester and Chipping Norton.
Chris and Celestine Roche, the vendors, have been successfully running the Grade II-listed thatched pub as a traditional house.
Stewart Harkness, of Christie & Co's Milton Keynes office, said: "Our clients have operated the Horse & Groom for seven years and have built up an established and steady trade. They are renowned for their good quality ales and home-cooked food.
"It has been run as very much a lifestyle business and is offered at an asking price of £425,000 for the freehold."
The property is predominantly a two-storey building with a single-storey extension to the rear.
Harkness added: "It is surrounded by many north Oxford-shire villages and there are local plans to build up to 1,400 new dwellings at the old air base at Upper Heyford."
"The Horse & Groom is advertised in the Good Beer Guide and the Good Pub Guide."
The public areas consist of a single-bar servery with seating for about 20 at tables, chairs and stools and a 25-cover dining area.
A trade garden, enclosed by a small stone wall, is at the front and there are six A-frame benches and a small conservatory area.
To the rear, there is a small service yard with a large double garage, which is used for storage and a detached toilet block.
The owner's accommodation has a ground-floor lounge and two double en suite bedrooms on the first floor.
