Haworth is passionate about British regional produce and the menu features dishes incorporating the finest produce of Lancashire and the north west.

The PubChef Live event will include business and menu tips from the Three Fishes team, talks by Food From Britain and regional food group North West Fine Foods on the produce the region has to offer and an excellent four-course meal incorporating produce from the north west.

Attendance costs £10. To register your interest in attending please contact Sue Selby on 01293 610238 or e-mail sue.selby@william-reed.co.uk.

Breakfasts could boost sales

Innovative breakfast offers could ensure food pubs capitalise on customers tired of toast and soggy cereals, according to a new report.

A survey from food and grocery think tank IGD found that 81% of people are eating breakfast at home on a weekday but only 18% are enjoying it. Caterers could capitalise on consumers demanding quick, easy-to-eat snack breakfasts during the week and sit-down indulgence foods on weekends, according to the IGD report.

John Denney-Finch, IGD chief executive, commented: "There is a huge opportunity to enhance the appeal of breakfast. Breakfast is still perceived as the most important meal of the day yet we all eat the same things and few people think creatively about what they could eat." Breakfast menus featuring sweet and continental style breads, fresh fruits and innovative cooked foods could help boost early-morning food sales, according to IGD.
