Heinz offers £5,000 kitchen makeover
A £5,000 kitchen makeover and 100 hotel spa breaks are on offer to pubs as part of a breakfast promotion from Heinz.
To celebrate the role of baked beans in the Great British Breakfast, until October 30 Heinz Beanz will have a peel off label offering caterers a chance to win the prizes.
At the same time, a consumer promotion offers everyone who buys Beanz with a breakfast a scratch card giving them a chance to win a seven-day family holiday in Majorca. Other prizes will include branded key rings to be received on the spot.
Tal Drori, brand marketer for Heinz said: "The aim of the promotion is to highlight to caterers and consumers that Heinz Beanz are an essential part of the traditional cooked breakfast. Research shows that seven out of 10 consumers are prepared to pay a premium for Heinz Beanz, offering significant profit opportunities ."
The promotion has been trialled in three outlets in the south-east. Jacqui Hollingsworth, licensee of the Plough in Upminster, London, offers Heinz beans with full English breakfasts and as side orders on the pub's children's menu.
She said: "The prize of the holiday to Majorca raised a great deal of interest amongst my customers, and significantly increased the amount of enquiries about our breakfasts.
"And everyone was over the moon when they won one of the on-the-spot prizes, it created a really nice atmosphere and made the prize winners feel good, which can only make them feel better about the pub and improve trade."
