Caledonian Brewing Company raises £3,000 for charity
Staff at the Caledonian Brewing Company raised £3,000 for the Scottish Community Foundation by completing a 54 mile walk in just one day.
Six people completed the RBS Caledonian challenge in just 23 hours 23 minutes, starting from Fort William, going up Glen Nevis, down the Devil's Staircase, across Rannoch Moor, past Crianlarich and finishing at Ardlui on the shores of Loch Lomond.
Chris Marsh, Caledonian Brewing Company head of marketing, said: "The team were over the moon that they completed the course. It really is tough going and there was a real show of willpower and grit from everyone to finish. Some of us took part in the challenge last year and we didn't all complete the course so we were determined that we would all finish together as a team this year. There was a real sense of achievement from everyone who took part."
Marsh has also raised nearly £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer by running marathons. He will run the New York marathon in November and plans to raise at least £2,000.
