Curry and chips is a staple of many pub menus, while chips with curry sauce is a takeaway favourite. It takes a special kind of genius to combine the two, which is why pub customers are likely to be all fired up by the latest launch from Farm Frites.

Curry Chips are coated with a spicy curry seasoning, and are designed to be featured in menus as a sharing snack or served with dips.

In these tough economic times, the fact that the spicy chips go exceptionally well with a cooling pint will not go unnoticed by pubs looking for a great beer and food match.

The launch is being supported with beer mats, posters, t-shirts and table talkers, with the POS focusing on novel dipping techniques such as the Cobra Strike, Elephant's Trunk and Sneaky Tiger.

Nic Townsend, marketing manager for Farm Frites, said: "We looked at the types of food consumers were enjoying and, while traditional British outlets remain popular, people have become more cosmopolitan and are attracted to diverse tastes when eating out."

Publicans can claim a free point of sale kit with two cases of Curry Chips.
