Beverage Brand's new apple cider, WKD Core, has unveiled its first advertising campaign.

The campaign will be led by a national outdoor campaign on 2,000 billboards.

Specially-built, stylised tree-shaped panels on sites in key locations will proclaim "TREEMENDOUS - our new apple cider is out now".

Usage of high-quality LED panels will give the campaign extra standout in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

The two-week burst breaks in early August and will be followed by further outdoor activity later in the year.

Supporting the poster advertising will be similarly-themed press executions in men's lifestyle magazines and national newspapers and on-line activity.

"We put a comprehensive trade support package in place for the launch and it's now time to complement that with activity to further build consumer pull-through," said Beverage Brands' marketing director Debs Carter.

The 500ml botles are expected to retail at between £3-£3.50.

"We want to bring a much-needed new edge to the cider market," said Carter. "The simple, bold, humorous approach of our new campaign will motivate consumers. It will set us apart from traditional cider imagery and will build upon WKD's well-established, unique personality.

"We're really excited to be embarking on our first advertising campaign for WKD Core and are confident that it will generate consumer demand and build sales for stockists."
