Meet the man behind London's only meadery
In a production site, just under Peckham train station in south London, is Gosnells- the city's only meadery.
It’s aim is to champion sustainability, modernise mead and put the honey-based drink back on the map. The south London meadery hopes to provide a premium option for cider drinkers, while also targets Gen Z. It launched a new taproom in Bermondsey, south London earlier this month, and is on its way to securing B Corp status. So, the future looks bright for the honey-based brand. Could Gosnells be the ones to get mead back to UK bars and shelves? The Morning Advertiser paid them a visit to find out.
