Licensees who have a Sky Sports subscription are in with a chance of driving a Formula 1 car or watching a day of Ashes cricket and will be able to drive footfall with increased summer sporting content.

Bringing people into pubs this summer will be a little easier for pubs with the lure of sport such as cricket’s fiercest rivalry between England and Australia in the Ashes series in both the men’s and women’s series and there’s plenty of top golf on including seven Majors, 120 tournaments and the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup.

Plus, every Formula 1 practice, qualifying session and Grands Prix live is only being screened live on Sky Sports and there’s action from rugby’s Super League.

Prize draw

Across four weeks, starting on Tuesday (4 April), customers will receive a weekly email inviting them to enter a prize draw to be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.

Operators could win a day at Silverstone driving a Formula 1 car plus overnight accommodation and dinner, and a day at The Ashes First Test at Edgbaston, including hospitality and an overnight stay in a four-star hotel.

There’s a round of golf for two at The Belfry with accommodation and a celebratory meal at the award-winning hotel also on offer plus a pair of tickets to the rugby Super League grand final along with overnight accommodation, an evening meal at one of Manchester’s best restaurants, plus £150 spending money.

Sport boosts revenue

Sky Business director of marketing Tracy Harrison said: “Sky’s TV product helps customers deliver the best sports experience for venues and 75% of licensees agreed that showing live sport helps them to increase their business revenue throughout the year[1].

“We know these are challenging times for our customers and we want to do what we can to help them – bringing our customers the best possible live sports experience is just one element – we want them to experience it for themselves too.”

To enter the competitions, make sure you are registered on MySkySports.com.
