The awards were established in 2015 by industry trailblazers to recognise the work carried out by maverick producers to promote their products in an increasingly competitive market.
All brewers and cider makers with a presence and focus in the UK are welcome to enter the 19 awards, which will see beer and cider go head to head for recognition.
Awards co-founder Jo Miller said: “Having been to many industry events, when we first set out our vision for the evening itself back in 2015, our only mantra was to build the type of awards ceremony we would actually really look forward to.”
Beer writer and awards co-founder Pete Brown highlighted the diversity of the awards, stating the depth of diversity in the sector was high.
“So whether you’re a mainstream lager brand creating a large scale TV advertising campaign, a microbrewer pouring your creativity into social media, or a cider maker who’s torn up the rulebook in pack design, the awards are for everyone, at every level,” he said.
Marketing is about experience and education, according to Justin Wylde, category manager for beer, cider and soft drinks at awards sponsor Matthew Clark. “Marketing is not just billboards and hashtags. It’s creating experiences, educating and celebrating all that is good in beer to capture the imagination and reach new audiences,” he said.
