Bristol pub banned from using glass
A Bristol pub has been banned from serving any drinks in glass and running drinks promotions following an incident involving a police officer.

The Enterprise Inns owned Wayfarer in Pen Park Road, Southmead has been told it must use polycarbonate glasses after a licensing review.
PC Hen Staveley-Brown was hit in the face with a pint glass in February and nearly lost her sight after trying to intercept a drug deal in the toilets. The pub has been closed since 6 June when the licensee left.
Another man, Chris Anderson has a false eye after he was punched in the face at the venue.
Following a licensing review, the following conditions were added:
• All drinks to be served in plastic or other non-breakable materials
• No bottles
• A minimum of two bouncers working on Friday and Saturday nights
• Improved CCTV
• No drinks promotions
• Proof of age scheme to be introduced
• No under 18s allowed in
• Drinking water to be provided for free
• All staff trained in drug awareness
• Regular toilet checks
Councillor Alex Woodman said: "We felt the grounds for the review had been satisfied. We have amended the licence quite heavily and put lots of new conditions on it.
"We had the option to revoke the licence and if the manager of the pub was still running it, we would have revoked the licence."
Enterprise has 21 days to appeal the new conditions.
